Amador Zinfandel
The Zinfandel for Rescue Red comes to us from a wine region whose reputation is spreading like wildfire, Amador County. Nestled in the Sierra Foothills, this vineyard experiences prime climactic and geological conditions for the creation of the rich, concentrated Zin in Rescue Red. Grower Ann Kraemer tends her grapes with minimal intervention, letting Mother Nature do the heavy lifting. Sustainably farmed and vinified, the wines from this vineyard are of extraordinary quality and finesse. To learn more, visit Ann's web site at www.yorbawines.com.
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Brother Fireman John Kuehl first planted grapes five years ago, and he finds the careful tending and constant vigilance of grape growing to be a welcome respite from the intense, fast-paced work he does as a firefighter. 2007 was the first full harvest for John, and we were lucky enough to obtain the delicious fruits of his labor. In wine, as in firefighting, teamwork is everything. Here at Vino D'Angelo we are fortunate to have formed a lasting relationship with a vineyard owner who truly puts his heart into everything he does.
Nevada County Sauvignon Blanc
Firefighters are always the first on the scene. In this case, Vino D'Angelo uncovered a Sauvignon Blanc region as hot as a house afire. With a dry climate and the punishing soils that give our Sauvignon Blanc a wonderful aromatic quality and well balanced acidity, this Nevada County vineyard shows all the signs of igniting a new trend.
