Vino D'Angelo's 2007 Shake Ridge Ranch Zinfandel was chosen as one of the top 100 wines of 2009 in the San Francisco Chronicle. Even better, our Zin was one of only four Zinfandels that made this prestigious list. We are so trilled to have such a honorable title bestowed upon us in what is still the early stages of our company. I’m excited to announce the release of our 2008 Sauvignon Blanc this month, our second vintage of this refreshing wine, and it’s another winner. Clean and crisp, it fills the nose with aromas of apple, pear and stone fruit, and the mouth with flavors of apple lemongrass and a hint of honeysuckle. Delicious.

Sauvignon Blanc may be the go-to white wine for summer, but the ultimate summer red has to be Zinfandel - nothing goes better with food fresh off the grill than a beautifully made Zin, especially one like this from Amador County. New Release! Our 2007 Vino D'Angelo Zinfandel is bottled and is ready to soak your taste buds. The buzz on this wine is absolutely fantastic! Backroom Wines in Napa recently highlighted this wine in their newsletter, where renowned winemaker Bob Biale commented that it was "the Zin of the night" at a private tasting. Additionally, a Bay Area wine editor picked our zin as one of the top 10 at the annual ZAP festival (not bad considering this wine was bottled just a few months ago)! But, don't take our word for it...buy a bottle and taste for yourself.

2009 Zap Festival

Zap was quite the crazy, wonderful experience. For those of you who have never been, just imagine a huge rock concert for Zinfandel being held in two huge pavilions with hundreds and hundreds of people attending (and of course - drinking)! It was great having our family help us out with the pouring of our wines. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to give our two Zins a try. Hearing all your excited and positive comments made it well worth the effort.

2008 Cabernet Savignon Harvest

We picked our Cabernet Savignon on October 20. All our wines are pressed off and looking great. This year's frost played a big part in the decreased volume, but on the flip side we are producing some wonderful wines. Hope to see you all in the coming year.
